Lebanon to lodge complaint with UN over 'Israel’s' navigation jamming
“Israel’s” navigation disruptions are regarded as posing a significant threat to civil aviation operations within the airspace of Beirut's international airport.
Lebanon has announced its intention to file a complaint with the United Nations Security Council against "Israel" accusing the occupation of violating its sovereignty by disrupting navigation systems.
According to a statement from the Lebanese Foreign Ministry reported by the official National News Agency (NNA), "Israel's" actions are perceived as a threat to civil aviation within Beirut's international airport airspace.
Lebanon will "submit an urgent complaint to the UN Security Council about Israel... disrupting navigation systems and civil aviation safety," the statement said.
“Lebanon also holds Israel internationally responsible for the consequences of any accident or disaster caused by Israel’s deliberate policy of jamming air and ground navigation systems, and deliberately disrupting signal receiving and transmitting devices,” it added.

Here's a list of Lebanese children that "Israel" has also murdered in its strikes on #Lebanon since October 7.

This comes as the Israeli occupation forces have been carrying out attacks against Lebanon since October 7, prompting retaliatory strikes from Hezbollah in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in defense of the Lebanese people. It has promised to keep on fighting the occupation as long as the latter continues its genocide against Gaza.

In January, Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati requested that the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdallah Bou Habib, urgently file a complaint with the United Nations Security Council regarding Israeli violations.
Mikati's request came in the wake of the latest Israeli violation of Lebanese sovereignty after targeting the Southern Suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut, on January 2, and all the recent Israeli violations.
Israeli violations of Lebanese airspace have been a persistent issue, as highlighted by data compiled by the website Air Pressure. Since 2007, a staggering number of 8,231 fighter jets and 13,102 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have breached Lebanon's skies. These incursions, with an average duration of 4 hours and 35 minutes each, collectively amount to 3,098 days or the equivalent of over eight and a half years of airspace violations. The data, sourced from 243 letters archived in the UN's digital library spanning from 2006 to 2021, meticulously details the time, duration, type, and trajectory of each aircraft intrusion.

"Israel" maintains that the hostile violation of Lebanon's airspace is "necessary". However, these actions also violate UN Security Council resolutions, namely Resolutions 425 (1978) and 1701, which "Israel" has constantly broken with impunity.
The Israeli occupation has also often illegally violated Lebanese airspace to bomb Syria.
"Israel" withdrew from most of Lebanon's territories after the year 2000 and is still maintaining its occupation of some areas on the border.
