Martyr Sayyed Nasrallah one of nation's greatest leaders: ANC Chief
The Secretary-General of the Arab Nationalist Congress, Hamdeen Sabahi, tells Al Mayadeen that Sayyed Nasrallah's Arabism was an essential part of his identity and struggle.
Hezbollah's martyred Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was born from the womb of this nation to carry its legitimate dream of liberating occupied Palestine, the Secretary-General of the Arab Nationalist Congress, Hamdeen Sabahi, told Al Mayadeen on Wednesday.
On the 40th day marking Sayyed Nasrallah's martyrdom, Sabahi said, "We renew our pledge to the martyred leader that our motto shall remain: we belong to the resistance, and the Resistance belongs to us."
The significance of Sayyed Nasrallah's martyrdom for the sake of the Palestinian cause lies in the fact that a nation that fights has the right to anticipate God’s victory, he added.
In this context, the Egyptian politician pointed out that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has shaken the Zionist entity to its core and delivered a fatal blow to it.
He also indicated that Sayyed Nasrallah's Arabism was an essential part of his identity and struggle, adding that the late Hezbollah leader is a martyr for Palestine and this Ummah.
Sabahi said Sayyed Nasrallah was to the Arab Nationalist Congress a noble friend and an outstanding symbol, describing the martyr as one of the great leaders of this Ummah.
Martyr Sayyed Nasrallah, along with martyrs Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar, shared the same goal—the liberation of Palestine, Sabahi told Al Mayadeen.
He asserted that "the Resistance is invincible because it will not surrender, and if victory requires a moment of patience, then we are not among those who falter."
Touching on Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election, Sabahi indicated that there is no fundamental difference in the American stance between Republicans and Democrats regarding the issues of the Middle East region.
