The Met said they arrested 82 counter-protesters who aimed to challenge participants in the rally. The arrests were made, as stated by the Metropolitan Police, "to prevent a breach of the peace."

The police reported encountering hostility from counter-protesters who arrived "in significant numbers", ahead of what could be the biggest march since the commencement of the war on Gaza a month ago.
