In September, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it "strongly appreciates the Syrian leadership's stance in support of promoting joint Arab action," stressing "the pledge to coordinate and consult with Damascus throughout its presidency of the Arab Summit."
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that "Algeria has started a series of consultations with several brotherly Arab countries with the aim of boosting the necessary consensus, in the context of preparing for the 31st regular session of the Council of the Arab League summit, which will be held in Algeria on November 1, 2022."
The statement stressed that "Algeria intends to continue its endeavors in the upcoming Arab summit," "through setting up the appropriate work mechanism and adopting the necessary methodology for this purpose."
