Mikati Conducts Talks with al-Kadhimi in Iraq
Lebanese PM Najib Mikati arrives to Iraq today to conduct talks with his Iraqi counterpart.
Lebanese PM Najib Mikati began official talks on Monday with Iraqi PM Mustafa al-Kadhimi after his arrival to Baghdad today.
Lebanon's General Director of General Security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim and Lebanon's Ambassador to Iraq, Ali al-Habhab, also took part in the talks, while the Iraqi side was represented by Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar and Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister's office Raed Jouhi.

On July 24th, Lebanon and Iraq signed an agreement for the former to import one million tons of Iraqi oil to lessen the impact of Lebanon's energy crisis.
Lebanese authorities unloaded the first shipment of refined Iraqi fuel, in accordance with the one year agreement.
