Military option against Iran's nuclear program is crucial: IOF chief
Despite disagreement between the US and "Israel" regarding Iran's nuclear program, IOF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi says preparing a military response against Iran is a "moral obligation".
IOF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi said that preparing a military response to Iran's nuclear program is a "moral obligation and a national security order" in a speech at a ceremony that marked the transition of the military's Home Front Command Chief.
Kochavi announced that “preparing the home front for war is a task that must be accelerated in the coming years, especially in light of the possibility that we will be required to act against the nuclear threat.”
He added that the IOF “continues to prepare vigorously for an attack on Iran and must prepare for every development and every scenario.”
He stresses that such preparation is at the heart of the IOF's preparations, which comprise a range of operational plans, the allocation of numerous resources, the purchase of necessary weapons, intelligence, and training.
In parallel and earlier today, Israeli occupation Prime Minister Yair Lapid reportedly stated that the US and “Israel” did not "necessarily agree" on the need for a credible military threat against Iran, during talks with US President Joe Biden last week.

In the same context, former Israeli intelligence chief Amos Yadlin said on Sunday that US President Joe Biden's visit to "Israel" did not achieve its desired goal, Israeli website i24 news reported.
Yadlin considered that Saudi Arabia was the biggest winner from Biden's visit, noting that neither did "Israel" present its short-term requests from the Iranian issue nor did it achieve what is expected in terms of normalizing relations.
Meanwhile, experts have highlighted the “modest” achievements made after Biden’s tours.
