Israeli occupation Security Minister Benny Gantz and Morocco's Minister in charge of defense administration, Abdellatif Loudiyi, signed Wednesday a memorandum of understanding on security cooperation between the two sides.
During his visit to Rabat, Gantz said the signed memorandum paves the way for military sales and cooperation between "Israel" and Morocco after the two upgraded their diplomatic relations last year.
Last week, the Head of the Israeli Security Ministry’s Political-Military Bureau, Zohar Palti, said the security agreement signed by Israeli Security Minister Benny Gantz in Morocco opens the door to "intel sharing and joint drills" and will create a "strategic alliance of knowledge" between the two sides.
On its part, the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization condemned the signing of the agreement and considered it "a departure from the stipulations of the Arab summits, the Arabic consensus, and the Arab Peace Initiative, and harms Arab national security and the interests of the Arab Umma."
In the same context, Hamas Spokesperson Sami Abu Zahri condemned the Moroccan agreement with "Israel" on Twitter, saying it is harmful to the region and provides the occupation with leeway to escalate its aggression against the Palestinian people.
