Netanyahu records war meetings, prevents army from doing the same
Israeli media report that the prime minister preferred to hold meetings in a place where he has "greater control, and did not trust the Israeli army to record the discussions."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has taken exclusive control over recording discussions at the Ministry of Security headquarters since the war on Gaza began on October 7, preventing the leadership of the occupation military from carrying out this task, Israeli media reported on Tuesday.
Additionally, Netanyahu's office "has ensured that discussions are recorded or transcribed only by his office staff and not by the army," the media indicated.

The prime minister also preferred to hold meetings in a place where he has "greater control, and did not trust the Israeli army to record the talks," the report added.
"There is concern about the alteration of minutes and protocols of cabinet discussions and the security update phone calls with the war decision-makers."
Netanyahu had previously accused Security Minister Yoav Gallant of leaking security discussions during one of the recently extended cabinet sessions last April.
Can't be trusted
Israel Hayom revealed in May that some ministers in the Political-Security Cabinet do not receive vital and sensitive information due to the "catastrophe of leaks," an issue that has been repeatedly raised within the occupation entity during the war.
Israeli media warned on Monday that the public rift between the prime minister and Gallant is causing significant concern among senior officials within the Israeli security establishment, including the army, the Shin Bet, and the Mossad.
According to the report, senior Israeli officials said that this is "damaging" the management of the ongoing war. It was noted that Netanyahu and Gallant do not communicate outside official discussions.

Israeli Channel 12 quoted one source saying that the discord between Netanyahu and Gallant is turning the Israeli military, Shin Bet, and Mossad into "mediators" during wartime, hindering the achievement of any strategic objectives.
An additional security source confirmed that there has not been a three-way meeting between the prime minister, the security minister, and the chief of staff for a long time, which highlights how terrible the ties are within the war cabinet.
Israeli media previously cited a source close to Netanyahu as saying that the security minister is a "pawn in the hands of the Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi."
The source indicated that Gallant cannot be trusted and that his behavior regarding judicial reforms, the draft law, and the prisoner exchange deal suggests he wants to topple the current Israeli government.
