"Israel" has become completely subservient to the American agenda, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Wednesday, highlighting how US President Donald Trump is currently making decisions on behalf of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is yielding to Washington's dictates.

Ynet said that the phase it described as the "honeymoon" has come to an end, referring to Trump's first days in the White House. It further expressed fears that Netanyahu could be treated the same way Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was treated in the White House if he dares to defy Trump's orders. This, according to the newspaper, dashes any hopes of a partner in the White House, with Washington getting instead a "housewife".

‘Israel’ submissively subservient to Trump's agenda

Netanyahu welcomed Trump as a person who makes decisions for him, after his envoy, Steve Witkoff, took a decision to impose a ceasefire during the first phase of the prisoner exchange deal and ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, a move Netanyahu did not want.

According to Ynet, the United States is currently forcing "Israel" to implement the maritime border demarcation agreement with Lebanon, which Netanyahu had previously described as an "agreement of betrayal and surrender" when Yair Lapid signed it indirectly with Lebanon’s Hezbollah. Initially, he had pledged to annul it, but now, Netanyahu is forced to implement it.

‘Israel’ utterly silent vis-à-vis Washington's talks with Hamas

Furthermore, Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that direct negotiations between the United States and Hamas were imposed on the Israeli government. Although US officials have deemed them unsuccessful, the possibility of resuming them is being circulated in different spheres.

According to the Israeli newspaper, "Israel" also maintained sheer silence when it was revealed that Trump's envoy for the captives’ affairs, Adam Boehler, was negotiating with Hamas. This is also why no response was heard when he laughed at Minister Ron Dermer in interviews and talked about having coffee with Hamas leaders.

"Israel" is surprised to discover that Trump is not content with being the US president only, the newspaper confirmed, noting his attempts to play an influential role in Tel Aviv's policies, as the Israeli government yields to all of his demands.

"This is not bad for Trump because the Israeli government accepts his entire demands," Ynet asserted in conclusion.
