The United Nations Human Rights Office (OHCHR) slammed on Friday the Israeli occupation forces for having kidnapped 19 civilians and killed 108 others, including 37 women and children, during their near-daily violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon.
Furthermore, the Israeli occupation army has also left schools, health centers, and places of worship inaccessible in Lebanon, preventing the resumption of essential civilian activities.
The UN rapporteurs expressed concern over the Israeli government's insufficient cooperation and the slow pace of its military's withdrawal from South Lebanon. “The prolonged Israeli occupation of at least five positions and two so-called security zones north of the Blue Line (the de facto border where UNIFIL is deployed) flagrantly contradicts the ceasefire agreement,” they stated.
With more than 80,000 people remaining displaced in Lebanon and unable to return to their homes, the humanitarian situation in Lebanon remains critical due to constant attacks by the Israeli occupation Army, which are causing persistent tension along the border.
"Israel" launched widespread airstrikes on Lebanon on October 16, violating the ceasefire agreement, all while targeting civilian infrastructure.

Venezuela condemns Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon
On its part, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry published a statement condemning the airstrikes carried out by the Israeli occupation army against the Lebanese population.
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela repudiates and condemns, in the strongest and firmest terms, bombings that the Zionist entity has carried out in recent days against the Lebanese Republic and its people," the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry stated.
It added that these attacks represent an illegal and unjustified act of aggression that undermines all norms of coexistence by violating the United Nations Charter, international law, and basic principles of state sovereignty, warning that this has become a common practice for the Israeli entity, which it accused of acting wrathfully amid its growing loss of credibility.
The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry further asserted that this aggression is part of the Israeli government’s warlike strategy, which desperately seeks any excuse to both undermine international efforts for peace and stability in the West Asian region and weaken the initiatives of President Joseph Aoun’s government, which are aimed at strengthening sovereignty and stability for Lebanon and its people.
"The history of nations is written in shining letters at crucial moments such as these. Therefore, we reaffirm our solidarity and unwavering support for the Lebanese people, their institutions and their government, and reiterate our commitment to peace, sovereignty and the defense of international law, within the framework of our Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace as the only basis for civic coexistence,” the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry concluded.
