One person was martyred and another was injured in an Israeli airstrike on Thursday targeting a pick-up truck in the city of Hermel, east Lebanon according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, in yet another violation of the ceasefire agreement between the two countries.
This comes as part of a series of occupation aggressions on Lebanon: A drone strike on Wednesday killed one person and injured another on the Hermel-Qasr road, while an airstrike killed 2 people and injured 3 others in Janta, east Lebanon.

'Israel' occupies 5 points in S. Lebanon, violates ceasefire
The Israeli Occupation fully withdrew from south Lebanon on February 18, except for five locations where it stated that it would remain in 5 strategic locations.
The five locations are al-Hamames, al-Azziyah, al-Owaidah, Jabal Blat, and al-Labouneh, a decision Ma'ariv military correspondent Avi Ashkenazi described as a mistake, invoking memories of incidents where Israeli soldiers were killed in southern Lebanon during its occupation of southern Lebanon in the 80s.
Former Israeli official Ashkenazi criticized "Israel’s" lack of strategy, comparing its leadership to firefighters reacting to crises in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran, noting that the Israeli Occupation Forces’ security belts in Lebanon became traps for soldiers, citing the 1985 Safari incident where Amer Kalakesh killed 12 Israeli soldiers, along with the Slouki and Shayetet disasters.
The Lebanese President Joseph Aoun urged a US congressional delegation to pressure Washington to put pressure on "Israel" to fully withdraw from south Lebanon, after the Israeli decision to stay sparked security and sovereignty concerns.
The Hezbollah and Amal movement leadership denounced the Israeli forces' violations of Lebanese airspcae and territory, calling the mediators of the ceasefire agreement to press "Israel" to adhere to the terms of Resolution 1701.
