One Palestinian youth was killed and several others were wounded in the West Bank when Israeli settlers opened fire on Palestinians in the village of al-Mughayyir.

20-year-old Palestinian Saeed Murad Nasan was killed by Israeli settler gunfire on Tuesday evening in the town of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The attack by Israeli occupation forces and settlers on the same village in Ramallah also left four other people wounded, according to local sources.

"Settlers under the protection of the occupation forces attacked a public park in the southeastern part of the village and opened fire in the direction of the citizens," Amin Abu-Alia, the head of the al-Mughayyir village council, stated.

This comes amid continuous assaults by the Israeli occupation forces and settler groups against the West Bank, its Palestinian residents, and their property, while Palestinian Resistance groups continue to confront the Israeli attacks.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, two Palestinian youths were injured by Israeli rubber-coated bullets shortly after midnight on September 22 during a raid on the town of Ya’bad, west of Jenin.

The Palestinian Information Center reported that a group of settlers occupied a Palestinian house in al-Khalil’s Old City in the southern West Bank, while elsewhere, Israeli occupation forces set fire to a home during a raid on the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.

Previously, Israeli occupation forces launched a mass arrest campaign across the occupied West Bank at dawn on September 21, detaining dozens of Palestinians, including former Arab MK Haneen Zoabi.

Meanwhile, in the villages surrounding al-Khalil, Israeli occupation forces carried out raids that led to the detention of Adam Tamer Abu Arqoub, Mustafa al-Tawil, and Mohammed Hussein al-Alami.

On the morning of September 16, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed two Palestinians in the West Bank city of Qalqilya, with the Palestinian Health Ministry confirming the deaths and noting that the forces were withholding the bodies of the two men.

On September 9, Israeli army fire killed two Palestinian children and wounded four others in Jenin. A Health Ministry statement identified one of the deceased as 14-year-old Islam Abdul-Aziz Nouh Majarmeh and confirmed two people were critically wounded during an incursion into the Jenin refugee camp.
