The Syrian Ministry of Interior affirms that investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the incident.

The Syrian Ministry of Interior confirmed on Wednesday that an officer and four personnel were injured in a car blast at Barzeh Police Station in Damascus.

In a statement, the Ministry said forensic teams and the Damascus Fire Brigade were immediately dispatched to the scene.

It added that the injured were transferred to hospital, affirming that investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the incident.

This is not the first time that the Syrian forces have been targeted.

Earlier, an Internal Security Forces bus exploded on the Damascus-Daraa highway, injuring 15 personnel, some of them seriously.
