A Syrian officer lost his life after an explosive device detonated in a military vehicle in the northern countryside of Daraa.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that a Syrian officer was martyred and 4 soldiers were injured when an explosive device exploded in a military vehicle in the northern countryside of Daraa, near Qanya.
Earlier, Syrian air defenses confronted an aggression that targeted the Qalamoun Mountains and the vicinity of the town of al-Qastal, in the countryside of Damascus, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent.
Our correspondent reported hearing successive explosions in the Qalamoun area near the city of Nabek, north of Damascus.
It is noteworthy that Syrian air defenses responded on February 28 to hostile targets in the vicinity of Damascus, according to a military source in the Syrian Ministry of Defense.
In another attack, an Israeli drone targeted on February 25 a truck in Syria's al-Qusayr in the countryside of Homs near the border with Lebanon, leading to its destruction, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
With the repeated Israeli attacks targeting its territory, Syria issued heightened warnings in the recent period, asserting that Israeli aggressive policies threaten to ignite the region and push it toward comprehensive escalation that jeopardizes regional and international peace and security.
