It is noteworthy that last month, Syrian air defense forces responded on February 28th to hostile targets in the vicinity of Damascus, according to a military source in the Syrian Ministry of Defense.
In another attack, an Israeli drone targeted on February 25th a truck in Syria's al-Qusayr in the countryside of Homs near the border with Lebanon, leading to its destruction, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
With the repeated Israeli attacks targeting its territory, Syria issued heightened warnings in the recent period, asserting that Israeli aggressive policies threaten to ignite the region and push it towards comprehensive escalation that jeopardizes regional and international peace and security.
