Only 31% of Israelis deem Netanyahu 'suitable for his position': Poll
The latest opinion poll published in the Israeli newspaper Maariv says that compared to Netanyahu, former Security Minister Benny Gantz is preferred by more than half of Israelis.
Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's popularity continues to dwindle as "Israel's" aggression on Gaza intensifies and continues.
The latest opinion poll published in the Israeli newspaper Maariv found that compared to Netanyahu, former Security Minister Benny Gantz is preferred by more than half of Israelis.
The poll indicated that only 31% of Israelis consider Netanyahu "suitable for his position."
The random sample included 510 Israelis, of which 51% expressed that Gantz was a more suitable fit for the position of prime minister.
Of those polled,18% expressed they had no opinion on the matter.
The survey also revealed a "decline in popularity" for Netanyahu's Likud Party, indicating that if elections were to take place immediately, Likud and its associate parties would only garner 43 seats in parliament compared to the 64 they currently hold.

Compared with Gantz's "National Unity Party," which would receive a hypothetical 39 seats, Likud would only gain 17.
These poll results, combined with previous extreme dissatisfaction with Netanyahu, may prompt him to delay the elections for as long as possible.
Israeli media: October 7 evidence of Netanyahu's failure
In a Sunday article published in Haaretz, former Israeli consul general to New York Alon Pinkas said that the events of October 7 were a failure that completely shattered the political myth Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had cultivated for himself over the years.
Pinkas pointed out that Netanyahu's perception of the Hamas movement is just one mistake among many that have accumulated, leading to the continuous failure of his policies and his government.
The former US ambassador to "Israel", Martin Indyk labeled him as a "clear and present danger" to the occupation entity. Indyk urged Netanyahu to step down, expressing concern that his continued leadership could lead to further harm to "Israel".
“[Netanyahu’s] determination to stay in power no matter the cost is a clear and present danger to Israel. He needs to resign…yesterday!” Indyk wrote in a post on X Sunday morning.
His remarks followed a New York Times report revealing that Netanyahu not only had knowledge of Qatar channeling millions of dollars monthly to Gaza, supporting the Hamas movement, but also actively endorsed and encouraged these payments.
According to The Times report, Netanyahu and other Israeli officials permitted the money to flow into Gaza because they believed that Hamas lacked "both the desire and capability" to launch a large-scale operation. The Times had previously reported that Israeli officials possessed blueprints of Hamas' plans over a year before the October 7 operation but chose to view an actual attack as unlikely.
Even his closest friend US President Joe Biden harshly criticized him over the "indiscriminate bombing" of Gaza.
The Financial Times reported that Biden has overtly and publically expressed concern that this was costing "Israel" its international support.
