Over 70% of roads destroyed by Israeli forces in Jenin: Municipality
Water supply has reportedly been disrupted for 80% of Jenin and the entire refugee camp.
The Jenin Municipality has reported extensive damage throughout the city due to the ongoing Israeli military incursion, stating that "70% of the city's streets have been completely destroyed." The ongoing raid has severely impacted essential infrastructure and services, leaving residents in dire conditions.
Bashir Mataaen, Director of Public Relations and Media for the municipality, told the Palestinian news agency WAFA that water supply has been disrupted for 80% of Jenin and the entire refugee camp. This disruption is due to the destruction of water networks and the inability of technical teams to access the damaged areas for necessary repairs or to reroute supplies.
In addition to infrastructure damage, Mataaen reported that "parts of the central vegetable market in the city were set on fire by occupation forces," resulting in extensive damage. Israeli actions have also led to the destruction of hundreds of houses and vehicles.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported earlier in the day that Israeli forces continue to besiege Jenin Government Hospital. Reports indicate a deliberate effort to obstruct the work of medical personnel and ambulances, complicating emergency response efforts.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces have been conducting raids and systematically destroying numerous homes in the eastern neighborhood of the city.

Late Tuesday night, Israeli occupation forces began their wide-scale aggression on the West Bank, raiding and bombing Tulkarm, Tubas, Jenin, and Nablus.
On Thursday, "Israel" announced the end of its operations in Tubas and Tulkarm, leaving behind a trail of blood and destroyed properties and infrastructure.
The incursion has so far resulted in numerous casualties. An 82-year-old man was shot dead by an Israeli sniper on Friday, bringing the death toll to at least 20 Palestinian martyrs since the operation began.
Resident Faiza Abu Jaafar expressed to AFP the fear and trauma experienced by many in Jenin.
"It's very hard, for the children and for everyone. We are afraid, we are terrified, look at all the damage," she said while standing amidst the debris. "We are living in dark days."
