Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a stark warning over "Israel's" nuclear capabilities, calling on the international community to recognize the growing threat posed by an entity that remains outside all binding global non-proliferation frameworks.

In a statement posted on X, Asif emphasized that the world must be "wary and apprehensive" of "Israel’s" nuclear potential, describing it as a nuclear-armed entity not bound by the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) or any other international nuclear agreement.

“Pakistan is a signatory to all international nuclear disciplines,” Asif stated, contrasting his country’s regulated and defensive posture with that of "Israel". He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s nuclear program is solely intended for the benefit and defense of the nation and not for regional domination.

World should be wary and apprehensive about Israel’s nuclear prowess, a country not bound by any international nuclear discipline not signatory to NPT or any other binding arrangement. Pakistan is signatory to all international nuclear disciplines, our nuclear capability is for…

“We do not pursue hegemonic policies against our neighbors, unlike what is being amply demonstrated by Israel these days,” he noted.

Asif also warned that Western support for "Israel" could have dire consequences, cautioning that the unchecked aggression could spiral into a broader war.

For decades, "Israel" has maintained one of the world’s most secretive #nuclear programs; never declared, never inspected, and always protected by powerful allies.

Yet, on June 7, #Iran hit "Israel" hard by obtaining a treasure trove of intelligence against it, which reportedly… pic.twitter.com/uJepMycEbM

“The Western world must worry about conflicts being generated by Israel; it will engulf the whole region and beyond. Their patronage of Israel, a rogue state, can have catastrophic consequences,” he concluded.

Last Saturday, Asif called on Islamic nations to unite in confronting the Israeli occupation, warning that continued silence and division would have devastating consequences for the entire Islamic world.

Speaking during a parliamentary session, Asif emphasized that Iran is not alone in facing Israeli aggression, warning that "Israel" has already targeted Yemen and Palestine as well, "If we remain silent and disunited today, then everyone will be targeted eventually”.

He called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to hold an urgent meeting and adopt a unified stance against the Israeli occupation's escalating hostilities.

'Israel' inflames tension

Asif highlighted the growing danger posed by the war, noting that the Israeli occupation had launched direct strikes on Iranian military facilities, killing senior leaders and further inflaming tensions.

Underscoring Pakistan's deep-rooted historical and cultural ties with Iran, he stated, "In this time of trial, we stand by Iran in every way. We will protect Iranian interests. Iranians are our brothers, and their grief and pain are shared."

The Pakistani defense minister reaffirmed his country's unwavering stance of non-recognition of the Israeli regime, stressing: "We have neither recognized Israel nor established diplomatic relations with it."

Islamic nations silence disappointing

He expressed disappointment at the silence of many Islamic states regarding the ongoing Israeli massacres in Palestine, saying, it is unfortunate that the Islamic world remains passive while children are being slaughtered in Palestine, pointing out that even non-Muslim voices in the West are rising in protest.

“Their conscience has awakened—unlike the Muslim world,” he said.

It is worth noting that "Israel" launched a major aggression on Iran in the early hours of last Friday, targeting residential buildings, nuclear facilities, and military infrastructure across Iran.

Iran’s Ministry of Health announced on Sunday evening that 224 civilians have been killed since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Islamic Republic, with the majority of victims being women and children.

The announcement follows continued Israeli strikes across several Iranian cities, which officials say have overwhelmingly targeted residential neighborhoods.
