Two resistance fighters shoot and kill an Israeli settlement guard near Salfit, and search operations in pursuit of them are underway.

Al Mayadeen correspondent in occupied Palestine reported that an Israeli “Ariel” settlement guard was shot and killed after resistance fighters opened fire in his direction, from point-blank range and withdrew from the location.

Our correspondent said the Israeli occupation forces closed the entrance to the Salfit governorate after the operation, while Israeli media suggested that it was a commando operation.

Israeli Channel 13 correspondent indicated that two resistance fighters armed with a Carlo rifle opened fire at the guard.
According to the Director of Al Mayadeen office in occupied Palestine, "Ariel" settlement is under heavy security, yet the Israeli guard was killed from a point-blank range.
The Director also said that choosing a settlement in the West Bank to carry out an operation is a major challenge to the Israeli occupation forces, stressing that the Israeli media is still confused about which story to convey about what happened in the settlement of "Ariel".

Israeli sources said the resistance fighters entered the "Ariel" settlement, and the search operations are underway inside the settlement near Salfit.
