Palestinian children suffocate in an Israeli attack in the West Bank
The Israeli occupation forces attacked a leisure event west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, causing dozens of Palestinian children to suffocate.
Dozens of Palestinian children suffocated Friday evening following an attack by the Israeli occupation forces during a leisure event west of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank.
Marwan Nofal, head of Ras Karkar village council, said that the Israeli occupation forces "fired tear gas canisters towards an amusement park in the village, close to a mosque, coinciding with the evening and Tarawih prayers.
"About 300 people, most of them children, were attending the event, in addition to dozens of worshipers heading to the mosque, which caused minor suffocation cases that were treated in the field," he added.
Nofal indicated that the occupation forces claimed that they were subjected to stone-throwing, but the children present at the event are of young ages and were with their families, stressing that there is no justification for firing tear gas at them.
Video clips showed tear gas canisters being thrown between children, causing panic and fear.

Since the beginning of Ramadan, the occupied Palestinian cities have witnessed security threats as a result of the repeated attacks by the occupation forces against the Palestinians in different areas.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation forces fired heavy rubber bullets at worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday, and threw tear gas canisters at them from drones in the courtyards, during a march that came out in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
