Palestinian youth Ibrahim Za'aqiq (20) was killed after being shot in the head by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) storming the town of Beit Emr, northernmost al-Khalil, in the West Bank.

According to the Palestinian WAFA agency, the martyr was a liberated detainee, released only two weeks ago from Israeli prisons. National and Islamic groups announced that Sunday will be a day for national mourning and a general strike.

Dozens of Palestinians confronting the occupation forces were suffocated by poisonous gases released from bombs launched by the IOF during the raid on the town, the agency further added, citing Palestinian activist Mohamad Awad.

The IOF also stormed the town of Taffuh, west al-Khalil, as well as the southern area of al-Khalil, near Wadi al-Hariya.

Palestinian Resistance confronts IOF in Tulkarm

In Tulkarm, the IOF stormed the towns of Anabta, Thinnaba, and Azbat al-Tayah. Al Mayadeen's correspondent in occupied Palestine reported fierce confrontations between Palestinian Resistance fighters and occupation forces in Thinnaba.

The al-Qassam Brigades - Qaffin claimed responsibility on Thursday for the targeting of an Israeli military vehicle using an Improvised explosive device planted between the Israeli Harmeesh settlement and the village of Barta'a in the northern occupied West Bank.

The brigade confirmed that the operation carried out by its Resistance fighters against the Israeli military vehicle caused direct hits.

Israeli media reported that four Israelis were injured in an explosion near the Harmeesh settlement in northern Tulkarm.

Citing security assessments about the incident, the Israeli Army Radio indicated that the explosive device was detonated remotely after the Israelis reached a farm in Harmeesh. It mentioned that the device exploded after one of the passengers got out of the vehicle to open the gate.
