Gaza Resistance destroys Merkava tank, rockets impact envelope sites
The Palestinian Resistance operations have resulted in significant losses among the invading Israeli occupation forces on multiple fronts.
The Palestinian Resistance carried out a series of top-tier operations on the 274th day of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war against the Gaza Strip. These operations resulted in significant losses among the invading Israeli occupation forces on multiple fronts.
Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said that its fighters detonated an anti-personnel claymore mine targeting an Israeli infantry unit in the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, killing and injuring members of the force.
In Baghdad Street, al-Shujaiya, al-Qassam Brigades destroyed a Merkava 4 tank, which caught fire after fighters targeted it with an explosively formed penetrator (EFP) of the Shawaz-3 type.
Upon their return from the front lines, fighters of the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), confirmed that they directly confronted an Israeli force of 7 personnel, resulting in casualties. The al-Quds Brigades clarified that this was done during a surprise attack and subsequent firefight using appropriate weaponry on Khalifa Street in al-Shujaiya.
Additionally, the al-Quds Brigades' fighters targeted Israeli soldiers and vehicles with mortar shells at the Abu Arban site and a vehicle concentration point at the Netzarim axis.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades targeted Israeli soldiers and their vehicles in al-Shujaiya with heavy mortar shells. The group also shelled occupation forces in the Netzarim Axis with a barrage of 107mm rocket artillery shells and large-caliber mortar rounds.
Al-Qassam, al-Quds Brigades rocket attacks impact Gaza Envelope
Palestinian Resistance fighters also launched multiple rocket attacks, targeting Israeli occupation forces and settlements around the Gaza Strip.
Al-Quds Brigades fighters launched a concentrated mortar attack on Israeli occupation forces, positioned in the Sufa military site, to the east of Rafah. The site has been a main gathering area for Israeli vehicles and forces participating in the invasion of Rafah.
The Brigades also launched a salvo of rockets at Sderot, a major settlement to the northeast of the Gaza Strip. Sirens sounded amid the attack, which saw two rockets impact the settlement.
At exactly 3:30 pm (local time), al-Qassam Brigades fighters launched several 107mm rocket artillery shells at the Nahal Oz military site, located to the east of the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, where intense battles are taking place.
Sirens also sounded Kfar Aza to the east of Gaza City, late on Friday night.
Abu Hamza speaks to Al Mayadeen: Israeli demise is inevitable
The spokesperson for the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, Abu Hamza, stated, in an exclusive interview with Al Mayadeen on Friday, "The battle with this enemy is unequal at all levels, as it is supported by the most powerful countries in the world, which unleashed its hand to kill and destroy, sparing nothing, no trees, no stones, and no humans"
The response of the spokesperson came in response to a question about how the guerilla warfare strategy, adopted by the Resistance, allowed it to defeat the Israeli occupation forces.
Abu Hamza explained the disparities between the Resistance and the occupation forces. He emphasized, "We as a resistance, on the other hand, have only a small amount of equipment and numbers, but the moral and ideological elements that the resistance possesses have provided it with motivation and spiritual support that allowed it to withstand fighting its enemy with unparalleled equanimity and courage."
He further stressed that "The Resistance shattered the enemy's calculations and prevented it from achieving any of its goals, preventing it from positioning itself at any point or spot without its vehicles and soldiers coming under attack."
Abu Hamza pointed out that "the Resistance engages in complex urban warfare, a type of warfare it has trained for and equipped itself for, tailored to its capabilities and resources." The spokesperson explains, "Resistance fighters adapted to the geography of Gaza, with its alleys and tunnels, so they mobilized what is above and below the ground to reach their goals, engaging from point blank."
He highlighted that "The results have been commensurate with each military operation carried out at the right time and place, which surprised the enemy, confusing its calculations and making it helpless in the face of an invisible resistance that reaches it, strikes it and withdraws."
