Palestinian Resistance confronts IOF raids into Tulkarm, Nablus
Palestinian Resistance factions confront the occupation forces' storming of Balata and Askar camps east of Nablus, as well as Nur Shams in Tulkarm.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades announced that its fighters engaged in heavy confrontations with the occupation forces, using machine guns and explosive devices around the Balata and Askar camps, east of the city of Nablus.
On Friday night and into Saturday, occupation forces stormed the two camps from the Beit Furik checkpoint. They deployed in the area, climbed onto the roofs of buildings near the entrance to Balata, and unleashed heavy gunfire.
The occupation forces arrested an unidentified young man from a house in the Askar camp and opened fire at an ambulance near the Balata camp.
Confrontations also took place at dawn Saturday in the city of Tulkarm, northwest of the West Bank, when the occupation forces stormed the town and raided several homes.
In a statement, the al-Quds Brigades - Tulkarm said that it directly targeted the occupation forces storming the outskirts of the Nur Shams Camp on the railway axis with bullets, and confronted occupation forces on several other axes in the area.
The occupation forces also stormed the Iktaba housing area in Tulkarm, arresting Palestinians Mursi Farhana, Tayseer al-Jaber, and his son Ammar al-Jaber.
In the town of Abwein, northwest of Ramallah, 26-year-old Ali Muwaffaq Musa Muzahim was killed on Friday evening. He was targeted and shot by occupation soldiers during clashes that ensued following a raid on the town.
Olmert takes a swing at Netanyahu
Israeli attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank persist, concurrent with ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip, are being perpetrated by both occupation forces and settlers.
On Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert warned the Israeli Prime Minister in an opinion piece published by Haaretz, "I am warning Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: The day is drawing near when arrest warrants will be issued against you for the crimes being carried out every day in Judea and Samaria [occupied West Bank] by Israel, with the support of its government, while you intentionally turn a blind eye to it."
Taking a swing at Netanyahu, Olmert said that the Israeli prime minister could claim that the situation in Gaza is not the result of specific policies, orders, or intentions from "Israel", or even from him personally, about the impunity given by the US and its allies to "Israel" to justify the killing of over 38,345 people and the reducing of Gaza to rubble.
He then sarcastically added, "In the worst case, as we all know, you are not really managing, leading, or directing. After all, you're not responsible for anything," referring to Netanyahu's ad-hoc policy and blame-shifting.
Then, the former Israeli prime minister affirmed that arrest warrants will in the future be issued against the prime minister, leaders, cabinet ministers, and commanders individually, but ultimately, it would be "Israel" that faces trial.
