Palestinian Resistance rockets shell 'Ashkelon' after 195 days of war
Resistance fighters in the Gaza Strip have conducted a series of indirect attacks on Israeli military positions, involving heavy mortar fire and rocket launching operations.
Palestinian Resistance fighters are intensifying their rocket launching operations and indirect targeting of Israeli occupation forces and settlements in the Gaza Envelope.
After nearly 200 days of the war on Gaza and following intense Israeli attacks on several sectors of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Resistance continues to operate its Rocket Force in the Gaza Strip, dismantling Israeli claims of victory in the northern Gaza Strip.
Just after Thursday midnight, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine's (PFLP) Abu Ali Mustapha Brigades announced that its Rocket Force launched a salvo of rockets from the central Gaza Strip toward Israeli military groupings to the east of Deir al-Balah. The Resistance factions said that the operation came in response to Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
Earlier, al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing, said that its fighters shelled the "Netsarim" Axis which splits the northern Gaza Strip and Gaza City from the rest of the besieged territory's towns and cities. It said that its mortar units fired large-caliber shells at Israeli occupation forces in the Axis.
As for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades, the Resistance faction launched a substantial rocket barrage toward occupied Askalan and the Israeli settlement city of "Sderot", as well as other settlements in the Gaza Envelope. Sirens did go off in northern Askalan at 10:00 pm (local time).
Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades also shelled Israeli occupation forces with large-caliber mortar shells, in a joint operation with al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, where mortar units targeted Israeli military positions to the east of the central Gaza Strip.

As for ground operations and direct confrontation, al-Qassam fighters reported on two distinct operations that they conducted at an earlier time after they returned from axes of confrontation.
In al-Mughraqa, in the central Gaza Strip, al-Qassam sapper units booby-trapped two tunnel entrances, luring a combat engineering Israeli force toward them. Resistance fighters managed to detonate the explosive-laden tunnels, confirming that several Israeli soldiers were killed and injured in the ambush.
Another unit was able to detonate a minefield, that they had set up in al-Mughraqa, after an Israeli armored force arrived in the area. Several armored Israeli vehicles were destroyed in the ambush and multiple crewmembers were killed and injured in the attack.
