Palestinians confront occupation attacks in besieged Shuafat camp
Al Mayadeen correspondent in Palestine reports on the Palestinians' confrontations of the IOF attacks in the besieged Shuafat camp.
Al Mayadeen correspondent in occupied Palestine confirmed on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the besieged Shuafat camp.
"Palestinian youths confronted the occupation forces after they stormed the Shuafat camp and set up barriers to disrupt their movement," noting that "the Israeli occupation is taking revenge on the popular base for the resistance in the camp after they were unable to reach the individual who carried out the Shuafat operation," our correspondent reported.
She also pointed out that "the Palestinians are responding to the occupation's attacks in Al-Khalil and Beit Lahm, where a general strike is taking place in solidarity with the Shuafat camp."

"The occupation forces withdrew to one of the checkpoints at the entrances of the town after Palestinians confronted them," adding that "the occupation fired tear gas canisters extensively at Palestinians and civilian homes," our correspondent from inside the besieged Shuafat camp stated.
"Al-Quds residents repelled the occupation's attacks using stones in the camp, despite the latter's attacks with intensive tear gas canisters and rubber bullets," noting that "the occupation forces targeted journalists in the camp with tear gas canisters," she added.

"The occupation forces are chasing the young men who hurled stones at them," adding that "the occupation opens unexpected pathways in the camp to surprise Al-Quds residents," the correspondent noted, adding that "the occupation forces, heavily armed, invade the camp to pursue the Al-Quds residents," and explaining that their attacks come in retaliation for the painful blow they received."
The correspondent stressed that there is an Israeli acknowledgment of the inability to stop the Palestinian operations, confirming the escalation of Palestinian resistance operations against the occupation in the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds.
She also pointed out that "the occupation is trying to separate and isolate Al-Quds residents from the occupied city through demolition and agression," adding that "the occupation is trying to isolate more than 100,000 Al-Quds residents in Shuafat camp from the occupied city of Al-Quds."

In this respect, Palestinian factions said in a press conference in Gaza that "the occupation's imposition of the siege on the Shuafat camp is one of the manifestations of the ongoing aggression against our people in Al-Quds."
"You are not alone, and we call on our masses everywhere to crawl to break the siege of Shuafat camp," the factions confirmed, noting that “the occupation will fail to break the will of our people, and we call on international and human rights institutions to play their role to stop the occupation’s crimes against Shuafat camp.”
Chairman of the Popular Committee in Shuafat Camp Mahmoud Al-Sheikh told Al Mayadeen, "Our situation in the camp is extremely difficult. We demand the removal of the wall and the military barriers," adding, "We call on the residents of Al-Quds to protest in front of the camp's military checkpoint at five in the afternoon."
In turn, a resident of Shuafat camp told Al Mayadeen that the camp "suffers from unprecedented practices by the occupation," pointing out that "the people of the camp rose up against the occupation's systematic policy and oppressive practices against us."
"Every location in Palestine is one, from Al-Quds, passing by Ramallah, and reaching Shuafat," he added, explaining that "the people of Palestinian villages near Shuafat will come at five to the checkpoint near the camp to protest."

The residents of the Shuafat refugee camp and the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Al-Quds, announced earlier today open civil disobedience against the Israeli occupation and its oppressive practices against them.
Following the announcement, a mass rally started from the camp toward the Shuafat camp checkpoint, which led to violent confrontations between Al-Quds youth and the occupation forces, which responded by firing gas and sound grenades on them, as well as targeting them with high-pressure wastewater hoses in an attempt to disperse them.
The Palestinian operation came after Israeli occupation forces killed in cold blood six Palestinians, including a 14-year-old boy in Ramallah and 2 youths during violent confrontations in the Jenin refugee camp.
