Israeli occupation besieges 150 thousand Palestinians in Shuafat Camp
In response to the blockade, the residents of the camp and Anata town announce open civil disobedience against the occupation's oppressive measures.
The residents of the Shuafat refugee camp and the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Al-Quds, announced open civil disobedience against the Israeli occupation and its oppressive practices against them.

The residents of Shuafat and Anata announced that schools and shops were closed while vehicles will be banned after 10 pm except for necessary cases, and workers were asked not to go to work starting Wednesday.

Following the announcement, a mass rally started from the camp toward the Shuafat camp checkpoint, which led to violent confrontations between Al-Quds youth and the occupation forces, which responded by firing gas and sound grenades on them, as well as targeting them with high-pressure wastewater hoses in an attempt to disperse them.

The statement stressed that the disobedience and the strike will continue until the Israeli blockade is lifted from the town of Anata and the Shuafat camp.
It's noteworthy that the occupation forces have been imposing collective punishment on about 150 thousand Palestinians in the Shuafat refugee camp, as they enforced a blockade on the camp in occupied Al Quds, with many residents being unable to leave even for urgent medical treatment and many basic supplies running low.

Israeli occupation forces have been also raiding homes and carrying out large-scale attacks on citizens in an attempt to exert pressure on the residents as they attempt to capture the individuals who carried out the operation on the Israeli occupation checkpoint at the gate of Shuafat camp on Saturday, which resulted in the killing of one Israeli soldier.
Local witnesses reported that more than 700 heavily-equipped Israeli soldiers from all divisions stormed the Shuafat refugee camp via the military checkpoint and the gate of Dahiyat Al-Salam neighborhood. Afterward, Israeli soldiers have been deployed in different sites most notably in Dahiyat Al-Salam, Ras Khamis, and Ras Shehadeh neighborhoods.

The Palestinian operation came after Israeli occupation forces killed in cold blood six Palestinians, including a 14-year-old boy in Ramallah and 2 youths during violent confrontations in the Jenin refugee camp.
