A week of escalating fear over Iranian missile attacks has sparked a series of violent incidents in public shelters across the Israeli-occupied territories, reflecting growing social tensions among settlers under duress.
Amid the mounting panic, the Israeli regime’s Ministry of Social Affairs announced the launch of an Emergency Community Mediation Service to defuse escalating disputes inside overcrowded shelters and manage immediate interpersonal conflicts.
Several violent incidents
In one of the most alarming incidents, an Israeli teenager discharged pepper spray inside a packed shelter in the Shapira neighborhood of Tel Aviv, injuring several individuals and prompting the arrest of three people.
Another confrontation occurred in the northern parts of the occupied city when a group of young men began smoking inside a shelter shared with elderly residents and individuals with health conditions. The situation escalated into a physical altercation after a woman attempting to intervene was assaulted.
Meanwhile, a settler in Bat Yam told Israeli media she was punched in the face after entering a shelter with her dog.
'Broader social breakdown'
The Ministry of Social Affairs described the incidents as symptomatic of a broader social breakdown, stating in a press release, “The high-stress environment inside the shelters creates fertile ground for conflict and violence.”
In response, Limor Musael, director of the community outreach division within the ministry, announced the launch of a dedicated mediation program designed to offer immediate, de-escalation-focused interventions in shelters.
“The rush to shelters under the sound of sirens creates a climate of anxiety and high tension,” Musael said, adding that the goal is to prevent violence and restore calm through localized conflict resolution efforts.
Iran warns Israeli settlers if civilians attacked
An informed Iranian source told Nour News that if "Israel" once again targets residential buildings, no place within the Israeli entity will remain safe. The source emphasized that Iran has now entered a new phase and aims to change the strategic calculations of the Israeli entity.
According to the source, any action taken by the Israeli regime as part of its aggression will be met with several Iranian countermeasures that are even more forceful, adding that the "foolishness of Netanyahu and the Israeli entity will result in a lesson the entity will never forget."
The source declared that continued aggression against Iran will undoubtedly mark the beginning of the end for the Israeli entity.
He also noted that the occupation now understands the need to reconsider all previous strategic assessments after witnessing the speed and scale of Iran's retaliatory capabilities, including millions of missiles.
Fortified Israeli bunkers taste Iranian lethality
According to The Telegraph, in a report days into the war, after three consecutive nights of Iranian missile strikes, growing numbers of Israeli settlers are beginning to grasp a truth long acknowledged by military officials: the much-touted missile defense system is, in their own words, “not hermetic".
In one of the most alarming incidents yet, at least five more Israeli settlers were killed overnight, including two settlers in the illegal settlement of Petah Tikvah, located east of Tel Aviv.
According to the Army Radio, the two Israeli settlers were killed despite taking refuge in a reinforced shelter, a place believed to offer protection from such attacks.
The report confirmed that a ballistic missile from Iran struck directly between two fortified bunkers, rendering the so-called “protected space” ineffective under the concentrated impact of the warhead. The blast penetrated the structure with lethal force.
