A major portion of the initiative centers on housing development, with 43,521 new housing units being introduced—14,521 in urban areas and 29,000 in rural regions. In addition, 11,500 land plots have been allocated as part of the government's population rejuvenation plan. The total value of housing and land initiatives surpasses 370 trillion rials, and includes four urban regeneration projects.
Transportation infrastructure also saw a significant boost, with 4,219 projects entering service. These projects, valued at 580 trillion rials, are partially supported by the aforementioned foreign investment. Among the new transportation assets are two search and rescue vessels stationed in Khorramshahr and Abadan, and 29 kilometers of new railway completed in Kashmar.
Air travel developments include the launch of an air taxi route between Karaj and Qazvin, using three MSSR aircraft, and the addition of two Airbus A330-200 jets with a combined 528-seat capacity to the national fleet.

Meteorological capabilities have also been enhanced through the opening of six weather stations, two climatology stations, and four rain gauge stations. The country also unveiled its first domestically manufactured S-MODE MSSR radar.
Additional projects include 50 kilometers of newly built rural roads, the first phase of the Arak Northern Bypass Freeway, and the implementation of a digital dashboard system for managing national urban and regional development plans.
Symbolic and Strategic Significance
Khorramshahr Liberation Day is not only a historic milestone but also a potent symbol of Iranian resistance and national unity. The timing of this large-scale unveiling highlights the government’s effort to draw a direct line between past sacrifice and current progress. President Pezeshkian framed the initiatives as part of a broader national agenda to improve quality of life, enhance self-reliance, and accelerate sustainable development.
The scale and scope of the inaugurated projects reflect an ambitious push to stimulate domestic growth while maintaining selective openness to foreign investment—an act increasingly central to Iran’s economic strategy.
