The representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in Iran, Nasser Abu Sharif, confirmed on Thursday that the Israeli occupation is waging a genocidal war in Gaza, supported by the United States of America, which considers the Resistance to be its primary enemy.

Speaking to Al Mayadeen, Abu Sharif addressed the US saying that they would be "in big trouble and facing a great strategic defeat" if they did not stop this war, stressing that the American administration is responsible for all these crimes against the Palestinian people through its unlimited support for the occupation.

The representative noted that all parties remained silent on what was happening to the people of the Gaza Strip are considered complicit in the attack. He also pointed out that the participation of the Axis of Resistance in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq in this war has had a clear impact on the Israeli occupation.

On Yemen's support for the Resistance in Gaza, Abu Sharif emphasized that the Ansar Allah had chosen to stand by the truth, pointing out that the movement was strangling the main artery of the occupation entity, which had a significant impact on the procession of the battle.

Egypt 'too big to be an intermediary'

As for Egypt, Abu Sharif said it is "too big to be an intermediary," stressing that "it could have been a superpower if it had taken a greater position in this conflict."

Speaking to Al Mayadeen, the PIJ representative called on Egypt to expand its position and regain its place in the Islamic world, adding, "This is what we hope."

Abu Sharif also called for wider Arab public engagement to force governments to change their policies, stressing the need for a louder voice on the global level that would denounce the occupation's war crimes.

The PIJ representative also emphasized that it is not possible to accept any form of negotiation in which the rights of the Palestinian people are violated, adding that an armistice was not currently on the table, and that any permanent ceasefire that would be negotiated would be in exchange for the release of all Palestinian prisoners.

In conclusion,  Abu Sharif affirmed that the Resistance will continue to conduct its operations and confront the occupation and the latter will not be able to subdue or weaken it, pointing out that victory is the ally of the people facing the occupation.

This comes as the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip entered its 69th day, and the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 196 people had been martyred in the past hours, bringing the toll of the Israeli aggression's martyrs to 18,608.

According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza, "more than 10 thousand Palestinians are missing and the people know nothing about them."
