In yet another act of Israeli barbarism, seven Palestinian Resistance fighters were murdered in a heavy exchange of fire in Aqabat Jaber camp, near Ariha.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the occupied West Bank reported that the residents of Aqabat Jaber camp did not find the bodies of the martyrs, with Israeli media later confirming that they were indeed held by the IOF.

Palestinians in Aqabat Jaber camp, located south of Ariha in the occupied West Bank, engaged in confrontations with Israeli occupation forces as they illegally stormed the city, which is under siege for the 9th day in a row.

Simultaneously, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement has promised that it will not back down from its struggle against Israeli occupation forces.

This comes after the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp battalion of the Al-Qassam brigades, the military wing of the Hamas resistance movement, marked the start of three days of wrath against the Israeli occupation's tight blockade and raids.

Concurrently, the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, said, “the al-Qassam Brigades will continue its operations with all the revolutionaries until the [Israeli] invaders are defeated.”

In a statement, he added:  “the ongoing killings carried out by the [Israeli] enemy in the West Bank will have disastrous repercussions on the Israeli regime,” adding that “all international or regional interventions will not succeed in stopping the revolutionary tide of our people, and the enemy will not enjoy calm.”

For his part,  the spokesperson for the Islamic Jihad Movement, Tareq Ezzedin, affirmed that the new massacre committed by the criminal Israeli occupation at dawn today, Monday, against the Palestinian people and Resistance fighters in Aqabat Jaber, will not terrorize Palestinians.

“The occupation has been established on our land since the occupation of Palestine through killing, destruction and terrorism. It is an entity that only understands the language of force, and our Palestinian people are alive and will not back down from their resistance until they ["Israel"] are defeated and forced to pull out from the entire soil of Palestine,” he added.

This is happening amid a surge in Israeli barbarism against Palestinians, and following brutal raid on Jenin camp, which left ten martyred and dozens of others injured. Although the IOF’s shoot-to-kill policy was already flexible and frequently resulted in the killings of Palestinians without justification or proportionality, the new occupation government and its "shuffling cards" policy made pulling the trigger easier for the Israeli soldiers, shielding them from any accountability.
