Polls: 3 in 4 Democrats 'concerned' about Biden's performance
A majority of Democrats have revealed they are concerned about the current president's ability to successfully complete his duties due to his old age.
According to a poll published on Saturday, a majority of Democrats have revealed they are concerned about the current president's ability to successfully complete his duties given his old age.
The Newsweek survey by Redfield and Wilton Strategies indicated that 75% of voters for Biden were "concerned" by the fact that he was 80 years old.

The divide among 1,500 potential voters was bigger on whether his age meant he should not run for reelection in 2024, with 42% agreeing with the assertion that Biden is "too old" to run for a second term.
Only 14% of those polled on August 5-6 indicated they were unconcerned about how Biden's age would affect his job performance, while 31% said he should not seek re-election.
In April, the president dismissed concerns about his age, claiming he "felt good" about running for a second term, despite not attending the new King's coronation in England as a result of his old age.
The president, who is the oldest person to hold office in the United States, must plan his major events ahead of time. This is due to his age and health, which limit his participation in processions and events.
In June, former White House physician turned Texas GOP Representative Ronny Jackson continued to voice his concerns regarding US President Joe Biden's mental and physical health following the latter's fall at the US Air Force Academy.
Jackson stated that Biden is "not fit" to be President, neither "mentally or physically." The role of a president, the GOP representative said, was to inspire confidence and project power, but Biden, the congressman explained, has failed to achieve this goal due to old age and clear mental and physical inaptitude.
If re-elected, he will be 86 years old when he leaves office in 2029 while former President Donald Trump is 77 years old and would be 82 at the end of a prospective second term.
Biden has repeatedly seen low approval ratings. In May, results from a poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research revealed that only 33% of American adults approved of US President Joe Biden's handling of the economy, and only 24% stated the present state of the national economy was in good standing.
