Six prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons have continued the open hunger strike they started several weeks ago.
In protest of the ongoing administrative detention, the prisoner Kayed al-Fasfoos has been on a hunger strike for 66 days, prisoner Meqdad al-Qawasma for 59 days, prisoner Alaa al-Araj for 41 days, prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash for 33 days, and prisoner Shadi Abu Akr for 25 days.
The prisoners are suffering from difficult health conditions, severe fatigue, and exhaustion.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Club announced in a statement, Wednesday, that the Captive Movement suspended the collective hunger strike after the Israeli occupation acquiesced to its demands.
Israeli prisons witnessed an escalation during the previous days, with Palestinian prisoners confronting the occupation police and setting fire to their cells in protest of the fierce crackdown by the occupation forces on them.
The Waed society for prisoners said that the confrontations between the prisoners and the prison administration have entered a very dangerous stage, with things heading toward a full-scale escalation.
In a separate context, Israeli occupation soldiers assaulted a Palestinian family today in the city of al-Khalil, south of the occupied West Bank.
A video clip captured the moment of the attack where the occupation soldiers attacked members of a Palestinian family, including children and the elderly, which led to injuries and bruises.
