Pro-Palestine rallies sweep Yemen, denounce US-UK aggression
Large crowds of Yemenis denounce the American-British aggression against their country and chant for Gaza in a demonstration.
Mass demonstrations took place at dawn today in several areas of Saada Governorate in northern Yemen, raising the slogan “The Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad,” to support the Palestinian people and denounce the American-British aggression on the country.
Demonstrations swept across Saada, the Razih District, and the Ghamr District.
The leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, called for mass participation in today's demonstrations, noting that the Yemenis participated en masse in al-Sabeen Square and the governorates, especially after the American aggression on the Red Sea.
He praised the Yemenis for taking to the squares last week, emphasizing that it is greater than before and insisting that this increasing level of movement, interaction, and continuity is fundamental.
Today's massive demonstrations come after the United States of America and Britain launched, at dawn, a military aggression against the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and the governorates of Hodeidah, Saada, Dhamar, Taiz, and Hajjah, according to what was reported by the official Yemeni SABA agency.
The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, confirmed that the American-British aggression led to the martyrdom of 5 members of the Yemeni Armed Forces and the injury of 6 others.
In this context, the coalition of anti-aggression political parties and forces condemned the American-British aggression against Yemen, stressing that the United States and Britain, through their aggression, “directly expose international navigation and global trade to all risks.”
The coalition said in its statement that “the American-British aggression is an extension of the aggression that has continued for more than 8 years.”
It also indicated that this aggression represents support and continuation of the Israeli-American aggression against the Palestinian people and their crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing.
The coalition stressed "the inevitability of the failure of this criminal alliance, as previous alliances have failed," indicating that "the Yemeni response to this aggression and its results were not in the calculations of the Americans and the British."
'From Palestine to Yemen, imperialism is a crime'
Following the American-British aggression on Yemen, American demonstrators also carried out a protest at the gates of the White House, rejecting their country's bombing of Yemen.
The protesters outside the White House, whose movement is part of the anti-war "Answer" coalition, confirmed that the Yemenis "are trying to stop terrorism and genocide in Gaza."
In Times Square in New York City, anti-war demonstrators also gathered to condemn the American bombing of Yemen and demand their country’s exit from the Middle East, chanting, “From Palestine to Yemen, imperialism is a crime.”

The US-UK aggression on Yemen
A US official told CNN today that the US military has launched strikes against multiple targets in Yemen, adding that "the strikes were from fighter jets and Tomahawk missiles."
The Yemeni SABA news agency in Sanaa also reported that the American-Israeli-British aggression launched multiple airstrikes on the capital Sanaa and the provinces of Hodeidah, Saada, and Dhamar.
According to Israeli media reports, in the United States, the Pentagon held urgent security consultations, highlighting that expanding the confrontation in the Middle East into a comprehensive one is one of the important topics being discussed.
Israeli media mentioned that weapon and missile storage facilities and drones would be attacked as part of the planned attack from Washington and London against Sanaa. Western sources were cited as saying that the selected targets would be limited to avoid expanding the scope of the confrontation.
