Putin’s approval rating in Russia rises to 82% in latest poll
In parallel, support for the United Russia party has also increased.

A recent survey conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) revealed that 82% of Russians trust President Vladimir Putin, with the same percentage approving of his job performance.
The poll, carried out between May 16 and 18, indicates a 2% increase in public trust and a 1% rise in approval compared to previous data.
The results underscore continued public support for the Russian president amid ongoing political developments and domestic policies. The FOM survey sampled 1,500 respondents across the country.

Public trust in government, Mishustin stable
The survey also showed that 56% of respondents approve of the Russian government’s overall performance, marking a 1% increase. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin’s approval rating remained steady at 58%, reflecting consistent support for the executive branch.
United Russia Party gains support
Support for the ruling United Russia party rose by 4%, reaching 48% in the latest polling. Other parties showed minor fluctuations:
- Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF): 7% (↓1%)
- Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR): 10% (↓1%)
- A Just Russia–For Truth: 3% (↑1%)
- New People: 2% (unchanged)
The increase in support for United Russia coincides with the broader trend of stability in approval ratings for key government figures.
The FOM poll was conducted over three days from May 16 to 18, using a sample size of 1,500 respondents. The organization did not disclose further methodological details in the public release.
