Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has condemned "Israel’s" continued violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, accusing the occupation of turning the besieged enclave into an “uninhabitable zone".
Speaking during the opening session of the Qatari Shura Council on Monday, the Emir said the Israeli attacks on Gaza constitute a flagrant breach of the truce that came into effect on October 10. He reiterated Qatar’s “firm rejection of all Israeli violations and practices in Palestine,” emphasizing that the Gaza Strip remains an inseparable part of Palestinian territory and the future Palestinian state.
The emir also warned that "Israel’s" aggression undermines regional stability and the credibility of international law, calling on world powers to hold the occupation accountable for its ongoing crimes.
Civilian toll and violations
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Israeli attacks since the ceasefire’s declaration have killed at least 80 Palestinians and injured more than 300 others. The strikes have targeted residential areas, shelters, and infrastructure, deepening the humanitarian crisis in the already devastated enclave.
Sheikh Tamim further condemned the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and the attempts to alter the historical and legal status of the al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied al-Quds.
Asserting Qatar’s position on the Palestinian cause, the Emir urged the international community to act decisively to end the Israeli occupation’s genocidal war against civilians in Gaza.

Qatar's role as a mediator
Qatar, which has played a key mediating role in ceasefire negotiations alongside Egypt, Turkiye, and the United States, says it remains committed to efforts aimed at de-escalation and the delivery of humanitarian aid. Doha has become increasingly vocal on Israeli aggression after the Israeli regime attacked a Hamas delegation meeting to discuss a ceasefire proposal on September 9, 2025.
The Emir’s latest remarks come amid growing international concern over "Israel’s" repeated breaches of the ceasefire. Al Thani also denounced the Israeli attacks on Doha in his address to the Shura Council.
“Israel has violated all international laws and norms governing relations between states by attacking a country that acts as a mediator and by its attempt to kill delegation members,” he said.
“We considered this aggression an act of state terrorism, and the global response was strong enough to shock the perpetrators,” he explained.
