Quds shooting gruesome, painful: Israeli media

Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth military affairs commentator Yossi Yehoshua commented on the incident on Twitter, saying "a cruel attack took place this evening in Al-Quds."
"As we indicated yesterday, there was concern in the security establishment about an incident of the sort in Al-Quds or the West Bank" in light of the Israeli occupation forces raid on Jenin on Thursday. "This is the first important test for the government, not what happened in Jenin or the rockets fired from Gaza."
Israeli Channel 12 military correspondent Nir Dvori said the shooting in Al-Quds "may be related to what happened in Jenin - an act of retaliation."
"The security establishment was aware that the rockets fired from Gaza was merely a symbolic response... because Hamas wants to ignite the situation in the West Bank and Al-Quds," he added.
"All eyes, in fact, were on Al-Quds and 'Israel', but it is very difficult to thwart an attack from a Palestinian with Israeli citizenship," Yehoshua said.
An Israeli Channel 12 correspondent reported that the man who carried out the operation had the "Teudat Zehut", the Israeli occupation's compulsory identity card, "meaning he actually is a Palestinian from Al-Quds."
The correspondent said the shooting was "very painful" and demanded that Israeli police minister Itamar Ben-Gvir be arrested as he "stirred up the hornet's nest."
Various Israeli news outlets reported on the shooting, saying there were concerns about the occupation's security establishment, with "Tel Aviv" mobilizing dozens of police officers to search for the suspects.
