Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov announced on Friday that the operations at the Rafah checkpoint had come to a standstill. He further mentioned that Moscow was actively engaged in discussions with "Israel", Egypt, and Palestinian officials in an effort to resolve the issues and facilitate the safe evacuation of Russian citizens from the Gaza Strip.
"The Border and Crossing Authority is announcing that the Rafah border crossing will resume its work for those with Egyptian and foreign passports tomorrow, on November 12," Bogdanov said.

Earlier this month, it was reported that in the initial wave of evacuations from the besieged enclave on Wednesday, a minimum of 320 foreign passport holders made their way to Egypt from Gaza.
The Palestinian official on the Gaza side of the border noted that the foreign passport holders left the territory aboard six buses.
An initial list of approximately 500 individuals who hold foreign passports or have dual nationality has received clearance to depart Gaza, and it is anticipated that evacuations will continue in the following days.
