Rahimzadeh: Iran Fully Prepared to Protect Its Skies
The commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base, Brigadier General Qader Rahimzadeh, affirms that Iran is fully prepared to protect its skies and respond to enemies under all circumstances.
The commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base, Brigadier General Qader Rahimzadeh, announced Wednesday that the locally made "Joshan" and "Khatam" air defense systems succeeded in destroying enemy targets, during the "Guardians of Velayat Sky 1400" drills.
In a press statement at the end of the drills, Rahimzadeh said that the two systems destroyed supposed enemy targets that were trying to infiltrate the drills' region at low altitudes.
The used systems are completely local-made, pointed out Rahimzadeh in a statement to Iranian television.
The General mentioned that the drills only showcased part of the capabilities of the Iranian air defense forces.
Rahimzadeh said that Iran is fully prepared to protect its skies with its local capabilities and respond decisively to the enemies under all circumstances, confirming that the "Guardians of Velayat Sky 1400" drills have achieved all their goals.
On Tuesday morning, the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF), Air Defense Force (IRIADF), and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)’s Aerospace Division all participated in the drills.
