Raisi Praises Iran’s successful resistance against US
The Iranian nation had survived difficult historical junctures while retaining its pride and independence, says Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi delivered a televised address to the Iranian people during which he said that his administration's top priority is to increase employment and create new jobs.
In his New Year's message, he added that “my first Nowruz message as the servant of the public is the message of round-the-clock and incessant work to build a powerful and advanced Iran.”
The Iranian President stressed that “no nation and no country has achieved anything without intensive work and the maximum use of human and natural resources. The New Year and the new century should be the beginning of a new era of productive, useful, fruitful, and progressive work for all of us.”
Furthermore, Raisi stated that in the seven months since his administration was inaugurated, it has demonstrated its determination to do what it says.
Furthermore, Raisi said that "we said that the country and the economy would not be left in limbo pending [the conclusion] of the JCPOA [Iran's deal with world powers]. Everybody saw that while engaging in negotiations [with other parties to the JCPOA] and taking advantage of political and legal means to deal with the crime of sanctions, we also put our focus on thwarting sanctions."
The president went on to say that the Iranian nation had survived difficult historical junctures while retaining its pride and independence and that it remained vigilant in the face of enemies' ploys.
“The country’s greatest achievement in these years has been making the Americans’ ‘maximum pressure campaign’ face a humiliating defeat, something that was made possible through the Iranian nation’s resistance,” Raisi tersely stated.
