Raisi: Iran will not step back from its red lines in Vienna Talks
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stresses that the Iranian government seeks to lift sanctions imposed on the country through the Vienna talks.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stressed today, Thursday, that Tehran will not retrieve any of its red lines in the Vienna Talks.
During a ceremony to renew the covenant of the Islamic revolution's principles, Raisi said the government is actively seeking, in the Vienna Talks, to lift the sanctions imposed on Iran.
Raisi also wrote on Twitter that the government aimed first to minimize the effects of the sanctions, but in the second step, it aimed to lift the sanctions entirely, without backing down.

Today, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, stressed that nuclear talks get more complicated with every hour that Washington does not make a political decision.
A few days ago, in regard to the latest developments on the Vienna Talks, Raisi affirmed that the "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the negotiating team are pursuing the negotiations, but the government has not tied anything to the negotiations and will not do so," assuring that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) does not affect Iran's foreign policy.
Iran has stated that it will not accept anything less than the complete removal of all US sanctions in a verifiable manner. It also wants assurances that Washington will not withdraw from the agreement again.
