Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi called the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement Ziyad Al-Nakhalah as well as the Secretary-General of the Hamas movement Ismail Haniyeh to discuss the ongoing events of the Al-Aqsa Flood reaffirming that Tehran continues to stand by Palestine and their right to liberate their land.

"Iran supports the legitimate defense of the Palestinian nation," Raisi said adding that "The Zionist regime (Israel) and its supporters are responsible for endangering the security of nations in the region, and they must be held accountable in this matter."

In similar vain, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, affirmed, earlier in the day, that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has exposed the fake power of the Israeli entity.

Bagheri stated that the Resistance forces are capable of launching complex and intricate operations that defy the Israeli capabilities, including their Iron Dome, emphasizing that some desperate attempts, such as the "ridiculous normalization farce," will not be able to slow down the pace of "Israel's" demise.

He further stated that "the resistance fighters, during their surprise air, sea, and land operation against Israeli military positions, presented inspiring scenes of the resistance and resilience of the oppressed Palestinian people."

"Operation Al-Aqsa Storm is the product of the anger that the Zionist enemy has planted in the oppressed Palestinian nation's heart and must now reap," General Bagheri stressed.

On his account, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian believed that the Israeli entity's continuous crimes against the Palestinian people have led to the operation initiated by Palestinian Resistance groups.

During a phone call with his Turkish counterpart, Amir-Abdollahian called on Muslim countries “to remain united in support of the holy occupied city of al-Quds, as well as the oppressed and resistant Palestinian nation.”
