Raisi urges more cooperation among Caspian coastal nations
The Iranian President believes cooperation among the Caspian Sea littoral nations has become "increasingly crucial."
According to President Ebrahim Raisi, "Cooperation among Caspian Sea littoral countries has become increasingly important amid international developments."
In his presentation to the summit in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, the Iranian President stated that he hoped the holding of these meetings will bring security, stability, peace, and friendship to the people of the region."

Raisi also stated that Iran is willing to hold the 7th Caspian Sea littoral states forum.
He described the Caspian Sea as a sea of cooperation and believes that due to international developments, the interaction will not only lead to an economic boom and increased prosperity but will also strengthen regional peace and stability.
Raisi also pointed out that "the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the Caspian Sea as a sea of peace and friendship and a factor in the linking and bringing together the people of the region."
He also advocated for the preservation of the sea's delicate ecosystem and the prudent use of its aquatic resources in the interests of economic growth and the welfare and security of the littoral states.
"Fortunately, good and constructive cooperation is underway among Caspian Sea littoral countries in various areas, especially transportation, trade, aquatic resources management, environmental protection, security, and dealing with insecurity and crimes in various forms," he stated.
He further pointed out that after lifting the restrictions of Covid-19, a significant increase in political and economic interactions between Iran and the Caspian Sea littoral countries has occurred.
