Raisi: Iran Will Not Abandon Nuclear Talks, Will Stand Against Exploitation
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi says that the Islamic Republic will not leave the negotiation table but will also oppose what harms the interests of the Iranian people.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said on Thursday that his country will not back down over the demands of its people during the nuclear negotiations, which will resume on November 29 in Vienna.
Raisi pointed out that Iran is looking forward to result-oriented negotiations that lead to the complete lifting of oppressive sanctions imposed on the country.
He affirmed that the Islamic Republic will not abandon the negotiations, but will defend the interests of the Iranian people.
The Iranian President stressed that Iran will not retreat from its national interests and that the authorities are following up on lifting sanctions and reducing their effects at the same time.
He also emphasized that his country will stand against exploitation and will thwart sanctions.
In regard to the retrieved Iranian oil ship, Raisi thanked the Iranian Revolution Guards and expressed his appreciation for their efforts.
For his part, Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, announced that the resumption of the Vienna negotiations would open the way for lifting sanctions on Iran and its full implementation of nuclear provisions of the 2015 deal.

The Russian official's statement came in response to the Iranian Foreign Ministry's announcement regarding Tehran's return to the nuclear negotiations in Vienna on November 29.
