The game was turned in favor of the home team after Oscar Trejo scored the third goal at minute 67, which granted his team a match victory over their opponents 3-2 ending Real Madrid's no-loss streak and increasing their La Liga points to 21, who moved to the eighth place.
Following the defeat, Real Madrid now has 32 points over the span of 13 matches, while Barcelona holds 34 points and now leading the league.
Real Madrid's loss could be mainly attributed to their star Karim Benzema's absence from the last 3 games due to muscular issues, which also resulted in the team's tie with Girona 1-1.
