Real Madrid defeated Celtic 5-1 on Wednesday to clinch UEFA Champions League Group F, while RB Leipzig advanced to the last 16 with a 4-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk.

Real Madrid, also known as the Whites, has already qualified for the next round, but the Spanish team won a massive win against Celtic in the final match week. Luka Modric of Real Madrid and Rodrygo of Brazil both scored penalty kicks in the first half at Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

In the 51st minute, unmarked Spanish attacker Marco Asensio struck a left-footed low shot past Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Vinicius Jr, another Real Madrid forward, finished in the six-yard box after Federico Valverde's cross. In the 61st minute, the Whites made it 4-0.

Ten minutes later, Uruguayan sensation Valverde scored from outside the box to put Real Madrid up 5-0. Valverde is having a fantastic season, as this is his seventh goal.

Jota, a Celtic forward, scored a consolation goal in the 84th minute from a freekick. Real Madrid won Group F with 13 points in six games after a 5-1 triumph.

Meanwhile, Leipzig defeated Shakhtar Donetsk 4-0 to maintain their place in the Champions League.

The German team finished second in the group with 12 points, joining Real Madrid in the last 16.

Third-placed Shakhtar Donetsk was promoted to the second-tier UEFA Europa League with six points. Celtic was eliminated after scoring two points in six appearances.
