Regional govs, Resistance movements condemn Israeli attacks on Syria
Israeli violations, including the occupation of the buffer zone in the Golan, have led to condemnations from several states and parties.
Saudi Arabia and Iran released separate statements condemning the ongoing Israeli aggression in Syria on Monday.
Resistance factions, including Hezbollah and Hamas, condemned the attacks targeting the country and its people.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Foreign Ministry denounced the Israeli assault, including the seizure of the buffer zone in the occupied Golan and the ongoing attacks on Syrian territories.
"These two developments confirm Israel's continued violation of international law and its determination to sabotage Syria’s chances of regaining its security, stability, and territorial integrity," Riyadh stressed.
Saudi Arabia urged the international community to denounce the violations and reaffirm its respect for Syria's sovereignty and the unity of its territories, adding that the Golan is an "occupied Arab Syrian land."
On his part, the spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei, said that Tehran denounces the Israeli aggression and its expanded occupation of the Golan. He underlined that the assault is a blatant violation of international law.
The spokesperson also criticized "the silence of Western countries and supporters of the Zionist entity regarding these attacks."
Tehran called on the international community to take "decisive and immediate measures to stop the Israeli attacks on Syria and hold it accountable for violating international law."
Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas denounced the continued aggression, stressing that it completely rejects any plots to target Syria, its territories, and its people.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah has also blasted the violations, saying that it is a blatant aggression against the country and a blunt violation against Syrian sovereignty and people.
Hezbollah pointed out that the aggression in Syria comes in line with the continuous violations of Lebanese sovereignty and assaults on the Gaza Strip. This is evidence that backs the inevitable unity of this region's path and the need to confront Israeli aggression.
Moreover, the Islamic Resistance warned against the continuation of aggression, inviting the international community, especially Arab and Islamic countries, to take decisive stances against Israeli crimes.
Hezbollah emphasized the need to maintain the unity of Syria, its territory, and its people while restating its support for Syria and its people at the conclusion of its statement.
In parallel with its occupation of Mount Hermon and the continuation of completing control over the buffer zone in Syria and other nearby points, Israeli warplanes continue to launch attacks on Syria.
Israeli media reported that the Israeli Air Force attacked more than 150 military targets in Syria, as part of efforts to destroy the Syrian military capabilities. Monday's attacks marked the most violent raids on Syria since the October 1973 war, according to Israeli media outlets.
