Scenes circulating on social media showed Israeli settlers escaping from Palestinian resistance rockets, which reached about 100km into the occupied Palestinian territories for the first time during this round of fighting.

The shelling of Israeli settlements and territories occupied by Israeli settlers came in response to the Occupation government's insistence on continuing its assassination policy against Palestinians in Gaza as well as the West Bank.

A video on Twitter showed a number of settlers fleeing in panic in the "Beitar Alit" settlement, south of Al-Quds, after rocket fire began to rain down on it.

On Telegram, a video depicted settlers collectively running around in search of shelter once sirens in "Tel Aviv" were activated as barrages of rockets were fired from Gaza.

In contrast, videos showed Palestinians rejoicing as Resistance rockets were seen headed towards settlements and occupied territories targeting occupiers in what was described as a "blessed barrage".

Circulating on social media, as well, was the image of a barefoot Resistance fighter loading rockets ahead of the barrage launch. The picture was followed with statements of support for the Resistance by Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, occupied territories, and across the world. Similarly, Arabs across the world shared statements of support for the 'barefoot soldier' fighting for the liberation of a nation.

Yesterday evening, heavy salvoes of rockets were launched toward the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, namely "Netivot", occupied Askalan, "Sderot", "Nahel Oz", and the "Western Negev" at 21:00 in what is known as the Hour of Al-Bahaa, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.

The rockets were fired amid celebrations from the Palestinian people of the Gaza Strip in support of the Resistance, the reporter said.

Israeli media said the Emergency Alert Systems were activated in "Gush Dan", "Holon", and "Rishon LeTsiyon", revealing that the rockets hit "Rishon LeTsiyon", "Holon", and the "Central District".

The Palestinian Resistance's response to the aggression caused a fire in an open area in "Sderot".

A rocket directly hit a house in the settlement of "Netivot" in light of the heavy salvoes of rockets launched by the Palestinian Resistance, Israeli media said.

Some 21 rockets were launched by the Palestinian Resistance over the course of a few minutes.

The heavy shelling from Gaza prompted the municipalities of several Israeli settlements to suspend classes on Friday.

Additionally, Israeli media said that more than 800 rockets have been fired from Gaza thus far over the past three days.

The Islamic Jihad had said there were "surprises coming at the Hour of Al-Bahaa (9 PM)."

The PIJ appealed to all Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, Gaza, and the '48 territories at exactly nine o'clock to come out of their houses and voice their solidarity with the Gaza Strip.

"A source in the Palestinian resistance warned the Israeli occupation against any new blunders because the response to it will be targeting new areas deeper into the occupied Palestinian territories," the PIJ added.
