Resistance factions send condolences, show solidarity with Iran
After the passing of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and other officials accompanying them, Resistance factions from Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Palestine sent words of condolences to honor the souls of the departed.
Since the official announcement of the passing of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and other officials accompanying them, Resistance factions have issued statements in solidarity, sending condolences shedding light on the role the Iranian officials played in supporting the Palestinian cause.
Hezbollah
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Hezbollah, issued a statement addressing the "painful incident" which led to the martyrdom of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, "beloved brother Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the representative of the Leader of the Revolution in Azarbejain governate, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, and the rest of the brothers" sending its condolences.
The statement added that Hezbollah had closely known the "martyred President" for a long time, "as he was a brother, a firm supporter, and a bold defender" of its causes and the causes of the nation as a whole with al-Quds and Palestine in the frontier and "a protector" of the Resistance movements, freedom fighters in all the positions of responsibility he has taken.
Hezbollah stressed that the departed Iranian President was "a loyal and honest servant of the dear Iranian people and the Islamic Republic of Iran" and further described him as "a loyal shoulder to lean on to Sayyed Ali Khamenei and hope for all oppressed people."
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon said that the same applies to "the dear martyred brother Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian" in all the positions of responsibility he has taken, with the latest being his role as a Foreign Minister labeling him as "a present, active, and sacrificing minister," as well as "a lover of the Resistance movements."
It concluded its statement by sending prayers to God and asking Him to stand by the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leaders, and its people to overcome this ordeal with "beautiful patience and steadfastness."
Hamas
The Islamic Resistance Movement in Palestine, Hamas, also issued a statement, offering its condolences and solidarity to the Leader of the Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, to the Iranian government and people regarding the passing of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and the representative of the Leader of the Revolution and the Friday Prayer Imam of Tabriz Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, and the Governor of East Azerbaijan, Malek Rahmati following the crash of the helicopter transporting them from northwest Iran.
Hamas expressed its full solidarity with Iran amid this incident, which claimed the lives of "some of the best Iranian leaders who had a long journey in Iran's renaissance," praising its honorable position in supporting the Palestinian cause, the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people against the Israeli occupation, its "appreciated support" for the Palestinian resistance, and "Iran's tireless efforts" in solidarity and various forms of support for Gaza in light of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
It also praised Iran's intense political and diplomatic efforts to stop the Israeli aggression against Palestinians.
Hamas concluded its statement by stressing its confidence in the ability of the Islamic Republic of Iran to overcome the repercussions of this "great loss," adding that the "dear Iranian people" have ancient institutions capable of dealing with this extreme ordeal.
Resistance committees in Palestine
The Resistance Committees in Palestine mourned the departed leaders and offered their condolences to Sayyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian people.
In their statement, they said that Palestine, its people, and its Resistance will not forget what "the two Resistance martyrs," President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian gave Palestine and its people in all forums.
The Resistance Committees emphasized their confidence in the great Iranian people and "their wise leadership" to overcome this difficult ordeal just as Iran has always overcome all the difficult stages it has gone through to remain supportive of the oppressed people of the nation and the world in "confronting the forces of arrogance, injustice and tyranny in the world."
PFLP
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) issued a statement, in the name of its secretary general, his deputy, all of its members, and the Palestinian people sending severe condolences to the Iranian people and its leadership.
It praised departed Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and emphasized that he dedicated his life to serving his country and working over the years to advance the Islamic Republic of Iran on all levels, playing an important role in turning it into a regional and world power.
The PFLP added that President Raisi put immense effort into supporting the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian Resistance in light of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
It concluded its statement, emphasizing that the PFLP expresses its complete solidarity with and support for the Iranian people and their leadership, adding that it is confident that the Islamic Republic of Iran will overcome this ordeal.
Ansar Allah movement
A member of the Ansar Allah movement’s political bureau, Mohammad al-Bukhaiti, issued a statement sending condolences to Sayyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian people amid the passing of the Iranian President and Foreign Minister, alongside other officials accompanying them.
He said that before his passing, the Iranian president said that the Palestinian cause is the primary cause in the Islamic World.
PMF
The chairman of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Iraq, Faleh al-Fayyad, sent his condolences to Iran and remembered the "honorable stances and record of resistance" of the departed Iranian President and his support for Iraq.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Amir-Abdollahian, officials pronounced dead
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi alongside Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and accompanying officials have passed away in the tragic helicopter crash in Iran's East Azerbaijan Province, according to an official statement by Iranian state media.
After locating the helicopter carrying the Iranian President and accompanying officials on the morning of May 20, Iran's Red Crescent Society (IRCS) issued a preliminary statement noting that there was "no sign of life" found near the wreckage locations.
This announcement comes over 16 hours after the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps reported they had lost contact with the helicopter carrying the officials. Since then, at least 73 rapid response and rescue teams from the provinces of East Azarbaijan, Tehran, Alborz, Ardabil, Zanjan, and West Azarbaijan were involved in the search and rescue operations led by the Iranian RCS.
According to Iranian state media, the President's helicopter crashed against a mountaintop in the Varzaqan region on May 19 while returning from a ceremony to inaugurate a dam on Iran's border with the Azerbaijan Republic. Iranian state TV mentioned that the helicopter was one of three carrying Raisi and his accompanying delegation of senior officials, which also included Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and the Friday Prayer Imam of Tabriz, among other officials.
