Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Nablus reported that Israeli occupation forces shelled a house they were besieging in the Old City and withdrew after failing to arrest Palestinian Resistance fighters there.

The Al-Quds Brigades' Nablus Brigade launched intense and successive strikes, accompanied with live fire, at the occupation forces and their vehicles during their storming of the Old City.

For its part, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) considered that the aggression against the Old City in Nablus is inseparable from the aggression that targeted the Gaza Strip last night and is part of a comprehensive aggression targeting the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance.

The PFLP stressed that any response from the Resistance in Gaza will be a natural response to the crime committed by the enemy last night.

This comes hours after the Israeli occupation targeted several areas in the Gaza Strip, including the homes of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ) leaders, which resulted in the death of 13 Palestinians, including the three leaders.

In a statement, the PIJ mourned the loss of its three martyrs, the commander of the southern region in the Al-Quds Brigades and the secretary of its military council, Jihad Ghannam, PIJ spokesperson Tarek Ezzedine, and member of the Military Council in the Al-Quds Brigades and the commander of the northern region in the Gaza Strip, Khalil Al-Bahtini.
