Rumors about negotiations progress are false: Resistance source
A Resistance Leadership source reveals to Al Mayadeen the reality of the progress of negotiations, and why "Israel" has obstructed all breakthroughs.
A source in the Resistance leadership told Al Mayadeen that all the rumors circulating about the progress of negotiations between the Palestinian Resistance and "Israel" were false.
The Source revealed that "Israel", in ongoing warmongering, continues to reject Hamas' proposal, calling it "unfeasible," and insists on its own conditions that do not include the withdrawal of its forces from Gaza or a permanent ceasefire. According to the source, Hamas on the other hand provided appropriate solutions concerning the ceasefire, the return of displaced Gazans, the prisoner release deal, and the complete withdrawal of the IOF from Gaza.
However, this was considered "a high ceiling" of demands by the Israeli occupation, the source stated, adding that negotiations are being stumped for that reason and from the Israeli side solely, therefore obstructing a breakthrough.
The source highlighted that "Israel's" obstinance comes from internal conflicts that do not allow any form of flexibility in setting conditions, and the delusion that the occupation can force Hamas into a weakened position through military pressure.
Egyptian and Qatari mediators have been working in harmony to achieve a breakthrough in negotiations, and according to Al Mayadeen's source, will be assisted further by the United States to prompt progress.
Hamas will accept nothing less than the end of Israeli aggression
Despite "Israel's" rigidity that will eventually backfire, the head of Hamas' political bureau Ismail Haniyeh said that the Resistance is acting responsibly throughout all negotiations.
Haniyeh stressed that Hamas at all times has responded with a positive spirit and high responsibility in cooperation with "brotherly mediators" to stop the Israeli aggression on Palestinians, end the unjust siege, allow aid into Gaza, and begin reconstruction, including shelters.
He further added that Hamas has shown extreme flexibility in dealing with the above-mentioned points however, it is very clear to him that the Israeli occupation is deliberately and continuously maneuvering around and putting off all issues that concern the Palestinians, while only focusing on its stance regarding the release of the captives.
Haniyeh reminded of the Resistance's stance, as the latter will accept nothing less than a full stop to the aggression on Gaza, the withdrawal of IOF troops, the lifting of the unjust blockade on Gaza, and the provision of safe and fit shelters for all refugees and homeless Palestinians as a result of the Israeli aggression. He also stressed the return of the displaced Palestinians to the north of Gaza and the halt of the Israeli intentional war of starvation being waged on Palestinians, alongside a commitment to reconstruction.
